I’ve been captivated by great storytelling since my grandmother read me my first Hans Christian Andersen story. Now I write about arts, business, travel, and curious people.
My travel writing is featured at Ocean Home Magazine, Southern Living, Carolina Bride, Carolina Mountain Life, Craveable Carolinas, Connect Magazines, DC Refined, Travel Connect, the Charlotte Observer, the Raleigh News & Observer, SouthPark Magazine, Lake Norman Magazine, and others.
My personal essays explore the personalities, back stories, and character behind destinations revealing intimate snapshots of life often missed by visitors on heavily scheduled agendas. My favorite destinations include Iran’s Persepolis, the magic kingdom of Bhutan, Irkutsk, known as the “Paris” of Siberia, and my adopted hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. I’m an active member of the Society of American Travel Writers.
My culture writing is found at the New York Times, the Huffington Post, the Jewish Daily Forward, Ballantyne Magazine, Creative Loafing, Metropolis Magazine, NASCAR Illustrated, PANK, the University of North Carolina Charlotte Alumni Magazine, Minnesota Magazine and others. I’m a contributing editor for Craveable Carolinas, a vibrant culinary lifestyle publication.
I craft custom content for corporate and nonprofit organizations such as Duke Energy, HSBC Financial, Wells Fargo, The UPS Stores, the Foundation for the Carolinas, and ADT Security.
